Police Crack Down on Musina Robbers

Limpopo police have arrested three suspects following a targeted operation that dismantled a group allegedly responsible for a series of armed robberies in the Musina area.

The operation was carried out on 3 February 2026 by the Musina Task Team, working together with the Crime Prevention Unit. It focused on suspects linked to robbery with a firearm, the possession of unlicensed firearms and the use of vehicles to commit crimes.

According to police, the suspects — all male and aged between 25 and 46 — were arrested in Matswale Phase 09 and Matswale Extension 09. They are believed to be connected to a robbery with a firearm case reported in Musina in December 2025.

During the operation, police also seized two motor vehicles suspected to have been used in the commission of the crimes. The vehicles will now form part of the ongoing investigation.

The suspects are expected to appear before the Musina Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of robbery with a firearm and related offences.

Police confirmed that one additional suspect is still at large, and that efforts to trace and arrest him have been intensified.
