May 8, 2025The Bushbuckridge police are urgently appealing to the public for assistance in locating 48‑year‑old Jazzman Sibangane Mashale, who has been missing since 2 May 2025.
Mashale, of Xanthia Trust, was last seen at home with his family on the evening of 2 May. When relatives awoke the following morning, he was nowhere to be found, although his prescription medication remained untouched in his room and his bank cards were missing. Concerned relatives reported him missing to Bushbuckridge SAPS on 5 May 2025, and a formal missing‑person case was opened.
Lieutenant Nicole Setwane of Bushbuckridge SAPS says the family fears for Mashale’s welfare and urges anyone with information to come forward. “We have launched a full-scale search operation, but we need the public’s help to locate him quickly and safely,” she said.
Mashale is described as approximately 1.75 m tall, of medium build, with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket and trousers.
Anyone who has seen Mashale or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact Warrant Officer Nicole Setwane on 079 391 9384, or the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111. Tips can also be submitted confidentially via the MySAPSApp. All information will be treated with the strictest confidence, and callers may remain anonymous.
The police and Mashale’s family implore anyone with relevant information to assist in reuniting this respected community member with his loved one
