Drivers Face Fresh Fuel Blow
March 3, 2026Two rhino calves have been rescued in the Kruger National Park after being found without their mother.
Visitors spotted the pair resting next to a road near the Malelane section on Saturday and immediately alerted park officials.
Kruger National Park rangers said the calves are believed to be about 12 and 18 months old. Both were safely removed from the area and relocated to a secure location for protection and monitoring.
The younger calf, estimated at 12 months, was airlifted by helicopter, while the older rhino was transported by crate.
Authorities are now investigating what happened to the mother and are working to establish her whereabouts.
