Hlabisa Warns of Illegal Migration Crisis
October 20, 2025In the heart of Mkhuhlu, a determined young woman has turned adversity into opportunity, launching a business that is winning hearts and inspiring hope. Pacience Lwazi Mokoena, the founder of Lwaa’s Bouquet, officially opened her handmade bouquet brand on 20 September 2025 after months of struggling to secure employment or a learnership.
Instead of surrendering to disappointment, Mokoena chose to carve her own path. Her business specialises in hand-crafted floral arrangements made entirely from ribbon, with every rose and bouquet designed from scratch. What began as an idea to keep her creativity alive has blossomed into a service cherished by her community.

“Starting this business has allowed me to be my own boss, be creative with floral arrangements and contribute to my community by providing a personalised service,” Mokoena said.
The response from Mkhuhlu residents has been overwhelmingly supportive. Locals praise not only the unique artistry of her ribbon roses but also the personal touch she brings to each creation. From birthdays to weddings, her bouquets are becoming a signature choice for special occasions.
Mokoena explained that her secret lies in the detail and care she puts into every piece. “We hand craft roses from scratch using ribbons, and every piece is made with love,” she said.
Though still in its early stages, Lwaa’s Bouquet is already planting seeds of bigger dreams. Mokoena envisions opening multiple branches in the future, creating opportunities for herself and others, while inspiring young people facing similar challenges to embrace entrepreneurship.
Her journey is a powerful reminder that resilience, creativity and community support can turn struggle into success. With each ribbon rose, she is not only building a business but also weaving hope for the next generation of entrepreneurs in Bushbuckridge.
