October 2, 2025Mbombela-based Niice Foods is heading to Germany this week in a bid to grow its international market reach.
The agro-processing company, which produces premium macadamia nut products, will participate in the Anuga Food and Beverage Trade Fair in Cologne from 4–8 October 2025. The event is one of the largest of its kind globally, attracting thousands of international buyers.
Niice Foods manufactures macadamia cooking oil, nut butter spreads and seasonings. Its products are already being exported to Germany, the United States, Mauritius and Malaysia, while also being available in more than 250 Checkers and 60 Pick n Pay outlets across South Africa.
Managing Director and Co-Founder, Taryn Muller, said the fair provides an ideal platform to strengthen the brand’s international presence.
“Our goal is to secure new retail, import and distribution partners in key European Union countries and the UAE. We believe our products will stand out for their quality, versatility and health benefits,” she said.
The company will highlight its flagship macadamia cooking oil, promoted as a healthier, plant-based alternative to olive and other vegetable oils. Muller added that their products are 100% South African, with no preservatives, additives or chemicals, and have long shelf lives.
Niice Foods employs 12 people in Mbombela and hopes that international expansion will lead to greater job creation and economic growth.
