Police in Limpopo are appealing to the public for assistance in locating the owner of four cattle found roaming in Ga-Makgoba village, under the Sebayeng policing area.
Officers from the Polokwane Stock Theft Unit said the animals were discovered on Saturday, 12 April 2026. A local livestock owner found the cattle unattended along a road in Ga-Makgoba, Dikgale village, and secured them in his kraal before notifying authorities.
Police responded to the scene and identified the cattle. Three are described as black and white, while the fourth is white with a visible brand mark reading “CFA3”. One of the black and white cattle had an ear tag with contact details, but follow-up inquiries revealed the animals had previously been sold.
The cattle have since been impounded for safekeeping at the Senwabarwana pound, under arrangements made with the Blouberg Municipality.
Police are urging anyone who may have lost cattle matching the description, or who may have information that could assist in identifying the rightful owner, to come forward.
